I know the Superintendent of all the schools in Anne Arundel County. She goes to my church. She is a wonderful sweet lady and I just adore her. She recently told this story.

When George Bush came to North Glen Elementary School in Glen Burnie, she got a chance to speak with him. She told him," Mr. President, I want you to know that me and my husband are on the Presidential prayer team at our church. We are praying for you."

As she said that his eyes filled with tears and he was so glad that someone was praying for him.

I think it is important that we pray for those leading our country. And I know that our President appreciates it.

1 Timothy 2:1-2

1I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone— 2for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.
